The Alphabet: W Is For…Willard Street
Willard Street was an acclaimed screenwriter in Hollywood from 1924 to 1971. Born May 3rd, 1900, he wrote such famous movies as “The Loves of Helen”, “Lost Ship”, “Delta Story”, and “Werewolf On Board”. In his later years, he primarily wrote for television, most notably for “Time Agents”, “Weekly Mystery Movie”, and “Chase!” He won 3 Oscars and many other awards.
Willard Street died from a heart attack on October 17th, 1977. He was survived by his second wife, Joan, and a total of 5 children.
