If you had told people in 2000 that the #1 kids television show in 2005 would be the live action adventures of a 30 year old country boy white guy who yodeled half of his dialog, they would have called you crazy.
They would have been dead wrong.
The corny series debuted in 2002 and got more popular every month. Kids, teens, college students, and old folks loved it. When, in 2004, they added his pal Dancin’ Ed and a dog named Prissy, the rating shot through the roof.
The show ran for 12 years, ending in 2014 when it was still #5 in the ratings. It is in constant reruns of the Kidz Komedy Network.
