Another Assortment Of Wands: Yemmie’s Wand
Yemmie Clockwinder was a young female gnome from the South Hills region of Galladia. As we all know, most gnomes are builders, tinkerers, and inventors. We also know that they often see spectacular failures of some of their creations, which tends to keep the gnome lifespan short.
But Yemmie was different. Besides being more cautious and thoughtful than others of her kind, she was possesed of a fair amount of magical talent. Since she needed a wand to help her use that talent, she went to Ozenius.
His records only say that he made the wand in just over a week with the help of Yemmie herself. This is apparent in the fact that it is the only wand Ozenius ever made that is almost enitirely metal. It is also noteworthy that rather than having runes of mystical symbols in it, it has various measurements and mathematical formulae.
So what did the wand do? According to all reports, it corrected any flaws in a finished device prior to activation. This resulted in vastly increased production from the South Hills gnomes, as well as increased lifespans, fewer lost limbs, and much less destruction of property.
It also made Yemmie very wealthy and a heroine of her people. When she died at the ripe old age of 232, her wand was gifted to us and placed on display. Every year for the last 240 years, on the anniversary of her death, thousands of gnomes make the pilgrimage here to see it.
