A con for kings? On Fantasy Earth 12, you betcha! With roughly 1,500 kingdoms scattered about, and ranging from small to large, there are plenty of kings around to attend.
Oddly, this convention is always held in the Coltaran Empire, which is ruled and dominated by women. The logic is that this give no king an upper hand to do anything shady by controlling the kingdom they con is in. It works well, the Empire makes money, and the women find the whole thing very amusing.
The kings do things like discuss the work of running a kingdom, why good mercenaries are hard to find, and why you should never turn your back on your relatives. There are also mixers, tours of the city, and excellent food and drink.
Please note that about 11% of attending kings return home to either a relative or friend grabbing the throne, or open rebellion by the populace.
