Assorted Rumors: About Mount Bartus
1: The skeleton of the Great Dragon God is up near the peak, turned to stone 400 years ago by Wizard Hadolfus.
2: They say there’s gold up in the caves on the south side, about two thirds of the way up. Of course, it’s guarded by mountain trolls.
3: I heard that a gnomish skyship crashed there one night back in 1209.
4: The whole mountain is possessed by the spirit of the ancient goddess Nesdela. If you don’t make frequent offerings to her, rocks fall and everyone dies.
5: The mountain cats up there are as smart as any human and they just love hunting us. Some of them can cast spells, too.
