Odd Jewelry: The Moving Earrings
Our final piece of the evening is Lot 9, the Moving Earrings. Crafted with gold wire and featuring three pearls of descending size that dangle a full inch below the earlobe. A fairly ordinary piece, until you realize that the pearls never stop moving in a slight back and forth manner, regardless of there being no wind or a wind of hurricane force. As with our other pieces, this one is a mystery. Perhaps Professor Zane could explain it, should anyone ever find out where he has disappeared to.
