Good Dogs: Flower
Breed: Rottweiler
Flower was just about the goodest girl EVER, because she saved her family from a scary monster!
It was an early evening on the Chavez family farm, and most of the family was sitting in the living room watching television. Out on the porch, 110 pound Rottweiler Flower was snoozing on her favorite pillow. She was thinking that maybe she should go inside and try to bed some popcorn when she saw something move way over by the barn.
Lifting her head up for a better view, Flower saw a dark shape come around the corner of the barn. She waited a minute to make sure it wasn’t a cow or goat, but then she heard the chickens raise a ruckus, which they never would for livestock. Then she saw the large hairy creature moving quickly toward the house. It was weaving around a bit and then started to growl and howl.
She barely heard her humans saying “What’s that?”, as she launched herself off the porch at the monster. Growling fiercely, she ran toward what looked like a sasquatch or yeti. The creature saw her and yelled, then turned to flee, but tripped and fell down face first on the ground.
Flower was on the beast in a flash, biting it on the legs and ass. Her humans were running toward her yelling. Her human dad, Rick, had his shotgun out. The monster was screaming in Spanish.
When her dad called her off, the monster rolled onto its back and pulled its head off! It was Uncle Luis, drunk as usual. The whole family gathered around him, laughing. Uncle Luis was always trying to pull pranks while drunk, and the family was pretty tied of it. Luis never seemed to get the message.
But after getting bitten and nearly shot, he apologized and then took off for home. Better yet, he stopped drinking and pranking.
The family gave Flower a whole bowl of popcorn, two churros, and lots of pets and hugs.
