It’s All Fun & Games Until The Little Robots Attack

…then you’ll be crying!

The Doclopedia #3,476
The Alphabet: NPC Edition: Lalan Patalomi

Although she looks like the 25 year old South Asian kindergarten teacher that she is, there is reason to believe that Lalan is possibly a mutant. On Earth 19-L, mutants are very uncommon, but they are pretty much unknown to the general populace. Several governments know, and therefore a very few coporations also know.

Lest you think that these mutants have superpowers, they don’t. At least, not in the comic book sense. These mutants are generally mentally of physically more advanced than ordinary humans. There are a few with different adaptations, such as gills or toes that are more like fingers, but they are quite rare.

Lalan may be a mutant because she has shown incredible reflexes and uncommonly good hearing a few times. But even if she isn’t a mutant, she still has contacts with at least 3 known mutants in 3 different countries. The seem to be casual acquaintances, so no actual alarm bells have rung anywhere with anybody. Really, the only one keeping an eye on her is her Auntie Ronara, who is mostly just curious.

The truth is, Lalan is part of a worldwide mutant aid group. Broken into cells, each mutant knows, to some degree, at least 3 others. It worked for communists, and it’s working for mutants.

Lalan Patalomi: 25 years old, 5′ 5” tall, 110 pounds, mid-length black hair, brown eyes, dark brown skin. Soft spoken, educated voice. Dresses conservatively. Unmarried, but engaged. Has two dogs. Does not know how to drive.
