Mad, Bad, And Dangerous To Know: Junebug
(A tip of the old bandana to Caroline King for inspiring this theme.)
Department K Patient File
Patient Name: Susan Rene Torres AKA “Junebug”
Age: 7 years old Sex: Female
Physical Assessment: Very healthy
Psychological Assessment: Sociopathic, with delusional moments and a tendency toward violence when denied what she desires.
Junebug is suspected in the deaths or disappearances of at least 5 people, including her paternal grandmother. She has also either directly via personal physical attack, or indirectly via traps, injured two dozen other children. Oddly, there is no evidence that Junebug has ever injured an animal, rare for a sociopath.
In her delusional phases, Junebug spends an hour or two conversing in gibberish and interacting with some sort of creatures she calls “ghost elves”, one of whom has the name “Glassy Alvin”. Junebug refuses to discuss what goes on between herself and the ghost elves. Asking her too many questions run the risk of attack.
Junebug was recently moved to Section 3 when, during a moment of violent outrage while restrained in sick bay, several things on a nearby table shook for 2.62 seconds. They stopped when she collapsed, exhausted. Sevrox meters registered a 1.5 surge. She was sedated immidiately and placed in a Calming Cell.
Upon awakening, Junebug ate a full meal and drank three glasses of water. She then spent 38 minutes talking to her imaginary friends.
It is recommended that Junebug be fitted with a suppression implant kept at no lower than Level 2. Past patients of this type see marked increases of abilities as they enter puberty, and Junebug is showing these abilities at least 4 years out from puberty.
