…things are bad down on the farm
The job search goes on, but has so far yielded nothing of importance. On the other hand, my skills as a stay at home househusband are improving daily.
The more I read what people have to say about D&D 4th Edition, the gladder I am that I won’t be buying it. If I want to play a miniatures battle game, I’m sure I can find one cheaper. If I want to play a fantasy RPG, I’ll play something I already know how to play.
I watched the premiere episode of The Middleman last night and it was a hoot. Lots of goofiness and plenty of comic book references.
The garden continues to flourish. I finally have a small cantaloupe growing on the vine.
Daisy and I are averaging about 1.75 miles per night on our walks. I’m gonna try to get that up to 2 miles, but it may entail walking after dark when the temperature drops into the 80’s.
Saw the preview for The Mummy 3 and it looks pretty good, especially since it has Michelle Yeoh in it and she is the Queen of Martial Arts Asskicking Babes. Also, having Brendan Fraser and Jet Li in it is pretty cool, too.
I recently took a bit of heat from one of my stealth readers because I used the phrase “Sweet Dog in Heaven”. This particular person is a born again christian. My reply went like this: “Well, I use the term I do because the existence of Dog is pretty damned indisputable. The existence of God…not so much.”
And now, to sleep…perchance to dream…of being in a hot tub full of chocolate pudding with Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman.
You could’ve just said “I was referring to my dog who passed away a couple years ago.”
But I suppose that wouldn’t have been as fun.
Stealth Christians
If you leave a line of D&D books around the outside edge of your yard, doesn’t that keep them away?
B.
We watched Mummy 3 last night. :D Ultra-secret-special screening. A lot wasn’t finished yet, but it was basically done. I’ll be interested to see what changes after they go through our feedback and do the final edits.
