I don’t think you need to tie yourself to a fixed time schedule of ‘issues’; you could simply release themed PDFs (say a ‘pulp issue’ where you have a loose story framework, some maps, and some character write-ups sans stats, or a ‘Toon’ issue where you have a bunch of plots, some staple characters and maybe someone to draw some cartoon pics etc., or a ‘maps’ issue where you include a bunch of pre-made maps for the clueless GM to fill in, or another issue where a single map is shown to be recylcled for a fantasy game, and SF game and a horror one, or a ‘reprint’ issue of some of your favourite articles for A&E, or…) as the urge and time fits you, and have them hosted on RPGNow or DrivethruRPG for perpetual sales.
As for a name, how about something like “Doc’s RPG Tavern”?

Themes for individual pieces are ok, but I don’t think I’ll do entire theme issues. Too restrictive.
As for not having a fixed schedule for publication, I want to do it to try and get more writing discipline. And each issue will be on sale at DrivethruRPG/RPGNow forever.
Also, at certain points…once a year maybe…I’ll compile and expand things like settings and books of characters into stand alone products.

As for not having a fixed schedule for publication, I want to do it to try and get more writing discipline. And each issue will be on sale at DrivethruRPG/RPGNow forever.
Also, at certain points…once a year maybe…I’ll compile and expand things like settings and books of characters into stand alone products.
