Born into a poor family in Texas, Olin Westburn had to struggle to get anywhere in life. Thankfully, his genius IQ was noticed by his teachers early on and he was encouraged to go to after school “gifted child” classes. It was there that he met Elmont Dean and forged a friendship based upon their mutual love of science.

At the age of 15, Olin graduated from high school and got a full ride scholarship to Cal Poly. Elmont followed him there the next year. It was Elmont who, at the age of 19 and using $25,000 that he had inherited from his grandfather, backed a computer game that Olin had written “as a break from reading theoretical physics papers”. That game was “DragonMage” and by the time the two young men turned 20, it had made them a cool 50 million dollars.

Today, Olin lives and works at his research campus O/E Futures, which he and Elmont founded. It is a constant source of new ideas in all areas of science and technology.
