​​​People: Sockie Blue, Rock & Roll Mage

Physical Description: Sockie (AKA Sonya) Blue is a 26 year old American mage of Eastern European ancestry. She is tall at 5’11”, and thin at 130 pounds. Her hair is naturally black with an equally natural sky blue streak running from the left front of her hairline above her blue eye. Her right eye is brown. As with about 50% of mages, she is ambidextrous. She has perfect teeth aside from the small gap between her two front top teeth. Unusually, for both a mage and a rocker, she has no tattoos. She is pretty, in a tough girl who’d kick your ass sort of way.

Personality: Many mages are downright weird. Many more are just way too serious. A few are batshit crazy. Sockie is sort of at the intersection of all three. The fact that she channels her magic through rock & roll music is kind of weird. Not unheard of, but still unusual. If you point that out to her, she’ll just shrug and say “Whatever. Fuck off.” The fact that she uses a harmonica or a ukulele to help cast her spells is also fairly off center.

Sockie is very serious about using her powers to help people that society ignores. She is even more serious about fighting demons and the evil mages who summon them.

More than a few people think Sockie is crazy because she will fearlessly leap into a fight when the odds look against her. She also tends to look pretty insane when playing & singing certain songs, but hey, rock & roll.

Sockie has major trust issues with authority figures and will not hesitate to tell them to fuck off. Likewise, she is often too trusting of the downtrodden, some of whom have betrayed her.

Overall, Sockie is a good person with a very tough exterior attitude. She is very nearly fearless, unless she is facing the undead, in which case she has, understandably, a good bit of fear.

Sockie is a mid-level mage. Her musical specialty is hard rock and heavy metal from the 70s and 80s, but she has used both older and newer songs to great effect. Her use of “Great Balls of Fire” let her destroy 2 demons, a giant spider and a good portion of Newark.
