Meet The Trolls: Invix
Invix is the son of Skalla and Orvix and he is that truly rarest of things: a Troll that can channel mana and so, cast spells. In fact, Invix is well on his way to becoming the first true Troll wizard.
To illustrate how rare Invix is, the last Red Troll to have any spellcasting abilities died 1,400 years ago. She was named Yarzal, and her powers peaked at about those of a second level Mage. Invix is also the first male spellcaster in at least 4,000 years. That makes him the subject of much awe, fear, and confusion.
Invix is probably smarter than and female Red Troll, which makes him the smartest Troll on the planet. His clan hopes that he will lead them to eventual rule of all the 16 Clans, but they also fear that he might leave, or worse yet, decide to rule the Red Trolls by himself.
Only 52 years old, Invix has a couple more centuries ahead of him, so he’s in no hurry to do anything but study magic under the tutelage of his human and elven masters. Both of them agree that he has great potential.
Being very smart has caused Invix to think not only how best to serve his people, but how best to serve himself. He would very much like to travel and see more of the world. Magic seems like a good way to do that.
Invix stands 7 feet tall, weighs 400 pounds and has no battle scars. His skin is somewhat less rough than most trolls and his eyes are blue, something he has in common with all previous Troll spellcasters. He wears robes and a floppy brimmed hat. When he speaks, his voice is not nearly as deep or rough as most Red Trolls.
