Legendary Snakes: The Serpent Of Blywfydd
The serpent in question is a local legend in the area around Blywfydd, Wales, and has been for nearly 500 years. 30 feet long, black as night, and possessed of three eyes, it was said to have roamed the area for a fortnight back in the summer of 1540. The serpent was said to have moved silently and faster than a horse could gallop. It was also reported to have hummed to itself as is crawled about. On several occasions, the serpent rapidly emerged and bumped a few people and animals, but never hurt anyone. Still, it was agreed by almost everyone that it was Satan in snake form. There have been sightings down through the centuries, but anything after that original fortnight is either made up or a product of drinking too much. The real Serpent of Blywfydd was, and still is, a robotic sample collecting unit sent from the Frekori Federation, some 200 light years away. That Federation was destroyed by civil war 300 years ago, so the slumbering serpent will be there, 600 feet below Blywfydd, for a long time.
