Part 12

The Eastern Badlands

This is where prairie gives way to a land of canyons, buttes, rocky areas, and sparse grasslands. The Road becomes very hard packed earth here. It turns due north a few miles in and water is scarce, but not unavailable.

While the travelers may not meet any humanoids here, wildlife is surprisingly abundant. Monsters are not uncommon, and that could include a dragon or two. There are no undead along this stretch of the Road.

This part of the Road passes over several canyons via arches. Some of these arches have no side walls or rails.
