The Long & Winding Road
Part 40
Ventaro
The Road runs for 110 miles through eastern Ventaro, through woods, farmland, and up and down serveral hills. It also crosses 5 streams. There are no monsters to be found here, but bandit activity is always possible. The roadbed continues to be smooth gravel.
This country is home to farms, ranches, mining, and forestry. It is also home to Lake Ventalo, a major fishing area and stop for boats traveling the river. There are many towns and villages along the river and lake, and one city of 90,000 people, Feynwal. Note that the lake is over 50 miles west of The Road, and Feynwal is 30 miles beyond that.
Another city, of 75,000 people, straddles The Road and sits atop a large flat topped hill. This is Ducolin, and it is a major business hub.
