Bevan began the death chant for Walen and Safiq, tossing in lines about their bravery or foolishness or skill at some particular thing. He mentioned Safiq’s ability to bed women and Walen’s love of anything sweet. Despite his words catching in his throat from time to time, he kept up the chant for well over an hour.
