She had been thinking of running off since she was 12 years old, half her lifetime ago. Whatever it would take for her to make the jump to the free life of a Far Traveler, it hadn’t happened yet. Odds are, it never would. Still, the dream of it kept her mind busy on these long trips. Except for today.
