Really, Fred?: Fred Paints His House
Fred’s a really talented painter. He paints landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and about 200 paintings of his dog, Booboo, and his cat, Mary. He sometimes sells his work, but mostly gives it to friends of schools or libraries.
Anyway, he decided to paint the exterior of his house a couple of years ago. Not big thing, right? But Fred starts painting all sorts of things on it. Rainbows, sunsets, animals, flowers, you name it, he painted it. A task that should have taken him a week or so took all summer.
And I got on the local news, then the national news, then the INTERNATIONAL news. He was interviewed by magazines and went on talk shows and stuff like that. It was crazy.
And here a few days ago, some big shot movie director calls him up and offers him a chance to star in a movie about the whole thing.
This is the sort of thing that only happens to Fred.
