Well, my little pork sausages, I wrote a fairly long post yesterday and then promptly did something to knock myself offline, thus losing it. So this post will not be as long or as varied, but ya takes what ya gets.
Winker at the vets
Our sweet little one eyed cutie pie went to the vet on Tuesday and it was proclaimed that she is healthy, weighs 40.5 pounds and is still in heat. The in heat part is why she went to the vet, since she was passing a bit of blood in her urine. Apparently, this is part of the whole estrus deal, so no worries.
Busy June at Casa Del Basset Hound
Holy crap, June be rocking hereabouts. This weekend it’s Doggie Dash on Saturday, then take my mom out for brekky on Sunday. Next weekend is full tilt gardening/housecleaning on Saturday, then Game Day/movies on Sunday. The weekend of the 23rd is my nice Molly’s wedding and then Wedding Reception Recovery Day. Somewhere in June is Father’s/Husband’s Day, where I might get a gift, but don’t have to buy one. And no sooner does June wind down than it’s 4th of July Barbecue time. Whew!
What Will Doc Buy At GenCon?
The answer is: I don’t know. Any RPG stuff will really have to knock my out. So far, only The Pirates Guide To Freeport by my pals at Green Ronin has made it onto the “must buy” list. I’m sure there will be other RPGs that seduce me, but I have no idea what they might be until I see them. I can tell you none of them will be PDFs.
As far as RPG accessories go, there will always be dice purchases. If my monetary situation allows, I may pick up Campaign Cartographer 3, which I have lusted over for many months now.
On the Boardgame/Non-Collectible Card Game front, we have whatever new additions to Killer Bunnies have come out since our last purchase. After that, I shall consult via phone with My Sweet Little Bouncy Wood Nymph Of Love to see what might interest her.
I don’t play wargames, so that’s taken care of. After that, it’s a safe bet I’ll hit the used games selection pretty hard.
And now, it’s dog walking time. More bloggishness later.
