Monsters Of Peace And Love

Weekend Report

Saturday, we took the girls to the annual SPCA Doggie Dash at Land Park. While we did not actually participate in the actual run/walk, we did visit all of the many booths and interacted with hundreds of other dogs, including a few Bassets. Fun was had by all, but our happy hounds were some crashed canines by the time we got home.

The rest of Saturday was spent doing home and garden related stuff. After that, movies were watched, including yet another Sci Fi Channel masterpiece, Ice Spiders

I got up early (as in 6 am) on Sunday to walk the girls and just decided to stay up, since we had to leave the house by 8:00 to meet my mom and eldest nephew, Zach, for Mom’s belated birthday breakfast. Now, said brekky was in Marysville, which is about 45 minutes north of here, so we arrived just about 9 am. Breakfast was eaten, talk was talked and then Grace and I headed home.

Once home, Grace puttered about inside while I went out into the garden and spent 5 hours working myself into a state of exhaustion. But damn, that garden looks good! After puttering and gardening, we had dinner and mostly vegged.

And now I must take Princess Daisy on her nightly 2 mile hike. More of el bloggo later.
