It’s All Fun And Games Until Somebody Gets Their Eyeball Stepped On

Weekend Update

On Saturday, Grace and I hit the ASPCA book sale as planned and bought a bunch of books, mostly about gardening, pet care and such. After lunch and a bit of shopping, it was into the garden for me. I finally got all my veggies planted (with the exception of a couple of tomato plants that I’ll buy next weekend) and managed to transplant a couple of plants that needed more sunlight.

Sunday was all about going to the dog park, cooking up a huge bunch of beans/rice/veggies/chicken for The Girls to eat over the next several weeks (as a break from their usual dry dog food) and doing a bit more shopping.

Around 2:15 on Sunday, I left to join my alternate RPG group (the Cannibal Pygmies) for a rousing 6 hour game of Arkham Horror at the home of the Hostess with the Mostest, weaktwos. The game was a break from our regular CoC roleplaying and was a whole lot of fun, despite taking a bit longer than normal due to a card that forbade us from closing interdimensional gates for a couple of hours. Great had and great food was eaten.

Monday was “Medical/Dental Fun Day”, with both my sweetheart and I taking the day off to tend to Medical (me) and Dental (Grace) needs. The big deal of the day, healthwise, was that I found out that I’ll FINALLY be getting my right wrist operated on next Wednesday. This is great news after 26 years of pain.

The rest of Monday was filled with more booksale haunting (and more books bought), more grocery shopping and more dog entertaining.

And now, Gentle Reader, I am off to work.
