That Time Doc & I Went To…: Montana To Drive The Weinermobile

.

Oh, no, no! It was my idea, Doc just agreed that it would be fun to do. I mean, who wouldn’t want to drive the Weinermobile? Okay, yeah, maybe somewhere a little more interesting than Butte, Montana, but still, driving a giant hot dog is going to be fun anyway.

So we popped on up to Butte and while the drivers and wiener folks were in a cafe having breakfast, I hotwired the Weinermobile while Doc had the Bus change to look like it. Within a few minutes, we were off and cruising.

We drove all over Butte and the country around it. We stopped and talked to kids and adults and even gave some of them a short ride. We took the Weinermobile out on the highway and opened it up. The top speed was around 90 and it handles like a barge, but it was still lots of fun.

After about 3 hours, we went back and parked it, then got the people out of the Bus, where they had mostly been wandering around inside it for hours. Doc neuralized them to forget everything and then we went home.

If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend driving the Weinermobile.

That Time Doc & I Went To…: The World’s Fair In Seattle

.

Okay, so, we went to the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair the first time when we were kids. I was 6 ½ and he was 8 and our parents took us and our baby brother up there from California that summer. Truth to tell, we don’t remember a whole lot about it because we’re both in our 60s now.

But when your big bro is a Time Lord (yeah, he hates being called that, which is why I do it), you can get repeats on past events. So a couple of months ago, the two of us went to the Fair the week before our family did.

It was pretty fun as an adult, even though most of their predictions for the future were WAY off the mark. But we rode the monorail and went up in the Space Needle and ate all sorts of food. At one point, near the end of the day, Doc got one of Sasha’s Corvettes off the Bus and we drove around town looking at places that would be gone or way different in 58 years.

After that, we packed up and came home. It was pretty fun, but at our age, exhausting. I think I slept for 12 straight hours that night.
