People You Might Meet: Mr. Sonenberry

.

Realities Where Most Often Encountered: Any Standard Earth between 2030 and 2150

Mr. Sonenberry is a dealer in bleeding edge high tech weaponry. How bleeding edge? He usually only has one or two prototypes of each weapon. Sometimes they don’t yet function as well as they eventually will. Sometimes they blow up or electrocute the user.

None of that makes much difference to the buyers. Everyone in the World Water War needs an edge.

Mr. Sonenberry works out of several big cities, including Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Sydney and Paris. He has no agents that handle sales because he does it himself, one on one. He does have several very efficient bodyguards. He accepts payment in cash, gold or diamonds, which is also how he pays for product.

You most likely will be seeking out Mr. Sonenberry either to buy from him or kill him. Either way, good luck.

People You Might Meet: Slidin’ Clyde

.

Realities Where Most Often Encountered: Any 20th Century Standard Earth with low to medium level super powered mutants.

Clyde Park was just your average 19 year old Korean American stoner/goof off/disappointment to his parents until 1973. It was in that year that he gained the power to create a layer of nearly frictionproof energy under his feet or anything else roughly man sized. Before you knew it, Slidin’ Clyde was sliding all over Los Angeles helping people out and stopping street level crimes. Before long, he was something of a hometown hero.

By 1995, Clyde was married with 2 kids. He was still going out on the streets and doing his thing, but he was also working in special effects for the film industry. Around 2001, his powers began to fade and by 2004, he was just a normal guy again.
