Meet The Trolls: Skalla
Among the Red Trolls of the Trolltooth Mountains, females rule. Both sexes can be fighters, both sexes tend the children, and both sexes work the mines and farms, but only females can be leaders or traders.
Skalla is the High Mother of the Falling River clan. She is a ferocious warrior and an effective diplomat, depending upon the circumstances. She is the Number One envoy to the Five Kingdoms every year during the Week of Unity. Her clan loves her and the other clans hold her in high regard.
The Gray Trolls of the Dead Forest hate and fear her. The Green Trolls of the Marshland just stay the hell away from her. The Blue Trolls would hate her, but she killed the last of them 200 years ago.
At 240 years old, Skalla is near the end of her life. She has trained 7 young females to take her place in various ways until the clan chooses one as High Mother. When that happens, Skalla will go off to her death. She has chosen to go battle the Cursed Giant up in Kian Kiar. She won’t survive, but maybe he won’t either.
Skalla is 7′ 8” tall and weighs 450 pounds. Her eyes are yellow and her body is covered in scars.
