Stop And Think!: Before You Go Back In Time

Okay, I’m going to repeat this again one more time: As far as we’ve been able to discover, you can’t change history in any real way. You might alter somebodies personal history, but you can’t kill Hitler or save Reagan in 1982 or give anyone information that changes history. So don’t even try.

Don’t try telling anyone you’re a time traveler. That’s a fast trip to the bughouse. Nobody but a mentally ill person will believe you. If they did, we would’ve had time travel before 2067.

Remember that you will not be in an organic body, since living tissue can’t travel through time. The nandroid bodies look and feel like the real thing, but don’t go getting x rayed or you’ll be in trouble.

Do not be surprised if you end up ensuring history follows the course we know. Turns our, while you can’t change history, you can sure as hell stumble backward into making it.

Finally, and I can’t state this strongly enough, STAY ON MISSION. You are going back to verify some facts on pre-World War II German intelligence activity in the US South. Stick to that, no matter what else you may find out. Of special importance is that you absolutely not try to investigate anyone else that you might suspect is a time traveler. That includes any animal that seems a bit too intelligent.

Okay, get ready to leave. Stay safe back there.
