Average Joes: Joe Pozlowsky, Special Delivery Man
NAME: Joseph K. Pozlowsky
AGE: 33
LOCATION: Chicago, Illinois
DESCRIPTION: Joe is 5’8” tall, heavy set, muscular, and average looking. He is married with 3 kids, two dogs, a cat, and a rabbit.
Joe works for Green Star Special deliveries, and when they say “special” deliveries, they aren’t kidding.
“Oh brother, where do I start? Well, two days ago, I delivered three big and heavy coffins to an old house on the southeast side of town. Two creepy little guys were there to sign for the order, so the three of us unloaded my truck, they tipped me a C-note, and I was on my way. Those coffins weren’t empty, but I don’t get paid to ask questions.
Then, about 3 months back, I had a delivery to some wealthy guy in a penthouse apartment. Just a little box about the size of a mac & cheese box. My instructions were to wait until the guy opened the box and confirmed what was in it. So comes to the door and he looks like some rich doctor or something, wearing a white lab coat and all. He looks all giddy as he opens the package. Out comes a diamond the size of a ping pong ball, and a note. He reads the note, shouts “It will work!”, then hands me a thousand buck tip, signs for the delivery, then shakes my hand and thanks me. I have no idea what was going on, other than that diamond being worth more than my house, but about a month later, I’m paging through an magazine from 1902, because my Dad collects stuff like that, and I see a photo of that guy as part of an expedition to Egypt. It was probably his grandpa or somebody.”
