Lost Movies of Earth 2-B: The Man In White (1933)

By all accounts, this movie was an excellent murder mystery with elements of the supernatural. Viewers were kept guessing who the killer was right up to the final 5 minutes.

Set in a British countryside manor house, the movie starred Ian Rigsby, Roland Weathers, Sarah Chambers, Oliver Madison, and Mary Dillon. It was produced and directed by Bruce Attington, and was his final film. After a big preview showing in London, the only copy of the film was destroyed when the truck carrying it went off the road and into a badly polluted pond.

Having used almost all of his personal fortune, plus a good deal of borrowed money, to make the movie, Bruce Attington was shattered by the loss. Three days later, he shot himself.
