A Few New Monsters: Grass Cat
In grasslands across the world, you will encounter one of the many species of Grass Cat. They range in size from the housecat sized Northern Low Grass Cats, to the larger than a tiger Great Sea Of Grass Cats. There are 9 other species and several sub-species. All are shades of green corresponding to the color of their native habitat. All are carnivores, although only the largest ones are obligate carnivores. The smaller species can and do eat fruits and berries.
Grass Cats are superb hunters, both as stalkers and ambushers. The odds of surviving an attack by the largest Grass Cats is very low. Fortunately, death is usually very quick. Then they eat you.
One important note: No humanoid anywhere has ever domesticated any species of Grass Cat. Don’t even try.
