While the trees here are still enormous, this area is great bear free. There is much wildlife here, as well as the odd ruins of a village or two. This part of The Road is the same as the previous part. It runs about 115 miles as it gradually turns toward the northeast.

Monsters and beasts are found here, though rather lightly. The ones you may encounter, however, will be powerful and dangerous. There are almost no undead here.

At about the halfway point, travelers will notice a sulfurous smell in the air. This will get more powerful as they go along.
