Otterfolk
The Road makes its way through a land of forests, streams, canals, and a big lake dotted with floating small islands made of logs. This is the land of the otterfolk, possibly the most laidback and fun-loving folks you’ll ever meet.
These 4 foot tall humanoid otters never live more than a few yards from a water source, and they prefer to travel by water. This explains not only the miles of canals, but the hundreds of floating islands. They really don’t work much, aside from fishing and tending small garden plots. They do make some craft items for trade, but they take their time doing it.
Being partiers and lovers, not fighters the otterfolk have agreed to let others guard their borders.
The Road in this land runs 95 miles southeast to northwest, a third of that across the huge lake. The roadbed is solid stone.
