The battle was bloody, but in the end, the brave town guards vanquished the horde of Imperial raiders. They cows all just walked away.
“That’s right”, Dree yelled at them, “run away, you miserable cowards!”
“Come back when the rest of you feel like dying!”, Carso added. With that, the two boys went back to walking along the fence, eyes open for more adventure. This would be their last day of playing together, since Carso would soon be joining his family back on the road. It would be fall before they got back around to Blue Tree.
