Sweet Hot Squinky Love

…it’s what’s for dinner:)

Stuffathon!

1: My main cooking man, Alton Brown, broke his clavicle (collar bone) somewhere in the Nevada desert while filming his new Food Network limited series “Feasting On Asphalt“. Not sure when it happened, but I read about it on his website last night. Having had a broken collarbone myself, I’d like to welcome Alton to the “Big Knot On Your Collarbone Club”.

2: I bought a used copy of the first book in the Dresden Files series, “Storm Front“. It was recommended to me by at least 4 people that I know aren’t gooby fanboy/girl types, so I’ll give it a read.

3: I’m thinking that my Sweet Angel and I could use a day outside the Sacramento metroplex, so I’m setting up a daytrip to The City. (that’s San Francisco for all you improperly Californicated folks) I forsee much eating of tasty foods, browsing thru book/record/game stores and general absorbtion of the San Fran ambience. This will most likely happen weekend after next.

4: Last night, besides watching movies, I did bits of work on several projects. The World Building Game and The Adventures of Zora are very close to being ready for launch. I’ve also added a few more ideas to my ShadowCon list, which I plan on sending to several of my friends just before GenCon in August, so they might give it some thought and send me some feedback. Finally, I’m plotting out possible routes for The Great 2007 Cross Family “Triumphant Return To GenCon” North American Tour. All of these routes are across the uppermost portion of the USA, but some are optimized for speed and some for towing a trailer and some for just cruising in a car full of gamers and Basset Hounds.

5: I’m thinking that I’ll expand my Netflix list to include TV shows that I’ve either not seen or really liked. This would include 24 and Deadwood  among the former and Buffy the Vampire Slayer among the latter. I’ve also added a few Tom Baker Doctor Who episodes to my list, since I love ’em and Grace has never seen anything Whovian except the new series.

6: There is no number 6, cos I’ve gotta go to work now.
