Uncle Doc’s Weekend
Saturday was all about trying to get the library/game room moved, with the accent on trying. Sweet Jesus we own a bunch of books, games and other geekery. With any luck and a bit of work every evening this week, I might have everything moved by next Saturday.
Sunday was Game Day and I ran the second episode of the AD&D 1st Edition series. The first level (but halfway to second) level party got quite a bit done…
1: Joined the Adventurers Guild
2: Left their homeland in search of Fortune & Glory
3: Saved a farm family from bandits by killing 4 out of 5 of said banditos
4: Later, scared bandit #5 so badly that he wet himself, gave them a very old treasure map and swore to go straight…in that order
5: Explored and decided not to loot a secret temple once used by demon worshippers
6: Found and befriended a living brain in a jar
7: Laid the body of a murdered young woman to rest, after which her ghost was very thankful
8: Saved a young goblin boy from harpies and agreed to escort him home
Not a bad session, even tho it ran to about 4 hours. (our usual sessions last about 2-2.5 hours. Oh yeah, that brain in a jar? His name is Edward and he functions much like Bob The Skull.
The weather here has been wet, very cool and rainy, so the garden must fend for itself.
Now, it’s off to a session in Dr. Yen’s “Fuck Off, Psoriasis” UVB Booth, then work. More bloggishness later.
