Our ace aviator, Captain Hawk Hawkins, owns one of the best known flying services in the Carribean. His base is located not far from Kingston, Jamaica and includes his home, three hangars and several workshops. Hawk shares his home with his best friend, his dog Lucky, and his mechanic, Desmond.
Altho Hawk can fly damned near anything made to fly, he can most often be found piloting his big cargo plane, Amarillo Betty. Less often, he transports passengers in his seaplane, Frisco Lil. No, he never tells the story behind either name. Desmond is quick to point out that Hawk also never goes to either Amarillo or San Francisco.
Hawk owns several other aircraft, including a small zeppelin. His most prized possession, and the one that Desmond is most proud of building, is an experimental jet plane. At present, the jet has a limited range and a few vibration problems at top speed, but Desmond is sure he can improve on these.
