At 9:53 this morning, Silky Dawn Cross was relieved of her pain by our vet. She went out with Grace and I there, hearing our voices and knowing she was loved. Her last words were “I love you all”,which is the essence of her in 4 words.
Silky was the gentlest and sweetest dog we have ever had in our family, even surpassing Winker in that regard. We will miss her.
Silky leaves behind her two sisters, her brother, Grace, myself, descendants numbering in the tens of thousands and, quite literally, tens of millions of NHT who loved her, looked up to her and were inspired by her.
Goodbye, Silky. You were THE Good Dog.
