Land Of The Dead
If you wondered what was up with the forts and increased population of northern Drenderland, this is why. Once, a prosperous and well populated kingdom was here. Now, thanks to evil necromancy gone wrong, it is a land of the ravenous living dead.
This 100 mile portion of The Road is a mere 100 yards from the magical border that keeps the brain hungry zombies inside their homeland. This border is powered by glowing orbs atop stone towers 20 feet tall.
Where once there was a civilization of over 2 million people, the Land of the Dead now holds a mere 10,000 undead. Nothing higher than a few insects live here. Even the foulest monsters avoid this land.
