Now, I don’t gather up posses for nothing, and this is important because that professor fella, Dr. Lake, has been kidnapped and Mayor King want him found before the fellows the Governor is sending get here. Now, the trail is still real clear and it’s only been a few hours, so we ought to be able to catch up.
Yeah, Ed? Okay, here’s the strange part. It looke like Lake was kidnapped by the Nayles brothers. Alright, alright, stop laughing. I know what you’re thinking, how the hell did those two lazy beer swilling lardasses get the gumption to exert that much energy and break the law. Damned if I know, but they did it. When we were untying Lake’s daughter and son in law, they positively identified Josh and Donny Nayles. Daughter says they are probably working for that weird little fella, Lovelace or Lovelong or whatever the hell his name is up near Spirit Mountain.
Whatever the hell is going on, we need to get on the trail now. Saddle up!”
