Mexican Jenny Goes For The Gold

…and got more of it than she reckoned

Doc’s Day

I walked just over 2 miles in about half an hour this morning (and spent another 15 minutes shopping for groceries on the walk) and then did some writing. I’m trying not to do TOO much rewriting until after the editor goes over this draft, but I keep finding things to tweak. As for actual non-tweakage writing, I have less than half of a setting to finish (maybe 1,000 words) and a half dozen or so characters to create and I’m done. With luck, that will happen tonight.

Our friend Sharon just called to tell me that she had just finished a big pot of chicken mole and would be bringing some to our game session tomorrow. Yum yum! How fortunate for me that I’m the only one in this house who likes Mexican food:)

No work in the garden today, altho I should start taking out the tomato plants now that they have reached the end of their productive lives. Gotta make room for the spinach & other greens.

I was reading a piece about all of the new products that Wizards of the Coast has coming out over the next year and it dawned on me that not a single fuckin’ thing on the list held the slightest interest for me. Man, that is some sure and certain sign that D&D and it’s spinoffs have changed far beyond my tastes in RPGs. On the other hand, my friends at Green Ronin continue to create products that taunt me with their wonderfullness even as my pocketbook dies a slow death from malnutrition.

And now, I must wash some dishes and prepare for the dinner cooking festivities. More bloggage later, after the writing.
