…holy crap, it’s killer ducks!
Gaming Stuff
The new face to face game is going to be titled The Adventures of Zora and will, as I said in a previous post, be a limited series of 12 episodes. Once character will be Princess Zora, a dashing swashbuckler who long ago said “fuck this shit” where her responsability to her kingdom was concerned. However, after 15 years of adventuring, she has chosen to come home and (massive cliche alert) go on a quest to save her homeland from certain doom at the hands of the barbaric Lion Men. Naturally, she will be joined by trusted friends on this epic journey. (end massive cliche alert)
I’ve chosen to go with this “put GM brain in neutral” style of game because 1: I know my players and this is the kind of stuff they love, 2: It’s old school FRPG fun and 3: I’m a lazy old fart. Basically, I’ve used Campaign Cartographer to make a pretty simple map of a continent, labelled a few spots that the PCs will need to visit (everything from ancient ruins to a quasi-Arabian Nights land to a floating castle in the sky), made a list of a few NPCs and monsters and then I’ll leave it up to them to decide in what order they do the quest. All of this leads up to the bigass finale in session 12 and then I’ll need to figure out what to run for them next.
Ack! Time for work. More blogging later.
