Assorted Rooms…With A Difference: Rich Man’s Study
This is the sort of rich man’s study one may have seen in the early 20th Century. Lots of dark wood, richly appointed and furnished, book shelves on the walls, fine Persian carpets, and a large mahogany desk. On that desk will be paperwork, a book or two, expensive fountain pens, a box of expensive cigars, and perhaps a bottle of fine brandy.
Of course, there will be a gun rack with several very expensive rifles and shotguns. Finally, there are the trophy heads and taxidermied animals bagged on hunting expeditions.
Now, about those trophies: Not a one of them is what you might expect. No lions, tigers, elk, gazelles, rhinos…nothing of that sort.
No, these trophies are very different indeed. That one there is a squirrel head the size of a basketball and with a mouth full of teeth that would give a shark pause. Next to it? A praying mantis head twice the size of a human head.
Speaking of human heads, there’s one over there, 6 times the size of a man’s head, and with only one eye right in the center of the forehead. Just beyond it is a very well done and mounted velociraptor, in an attack pose.
Hanging from the ceiling? Sure looks like a merman to us.
