…and regret eating spicy food

The Long & Winding Road

Part 7

The Grazelands

As the Road leaves the small city in the grain fields, it becomes a well maintained , slightly raised, wide road of hardpacked earth. It is easily 30 feet across. It now runs next to a river, with this side of the land being maybe 10 feet above the waterline.

As the name implies this is a vast area of grassland used for grazing all manner of animals. You’ll find everything from pastured poultry to cattle to horses here. There are small villages and towns scattered across a land that is around 125 miles from north to south and 150 miles from east to west. There are two medium sized cities at bends in the river.

This is part of a major trade route and the people are used to strangers. The food is meat heavy, but delicious.
