Famous Film Monsters 2.0: Frankenstein
On Earth 10-A, the novel “Frankenstein” was more popular upon release than it ever was here. It also caused people to feel great sympathy for the monster, and hatred for Dr. Frankenstein.
So it is that since the first silent movie, starring Charles Ogle as the Creation (not Monster), the movies, plays and television shows have cast Victor as the insane and evil mad doctor, and the Creation as the poor victim.
In most movies, the creation, often called Adam, first flees, but later works to stop his creator. He often finds romance with one of the leading ladies.
Since the first sound version, starring Boris Karloff as Adam, came out, there has never been more than a 5 year gap between releases of Frankenstein movies.
