…and then go drinking with Totoro
This Just In: California Man Almost Feels Great. No Film At 11:00
Well, my week long session of “feel yucky, but never really get sick” seems to be winding down. I suspect that most of this was caused by a combination of low grade ear infection, several nights of poor/interrupted sleep and “general winter blahs”. Today, I’m feeling good. On the whole, however, I would take another week of feeling yucky if it meant not actually getting sick this winter.
RPG/Gaming News
This Sunday marks the start of what will hopefully become a long running Call of Cthulhu series run by the ever amazing patricks. My character will be a cryptozoologist, which almost certainly means close encounters with various Eldritch Horrors. Wheee! Look at that Sanity score plummet! :)
Next weekend is Dundracon and I’m hoping that my TOON game goes well. Not sure what other games I’ll play in, aside from trying like hell to get into the Creeks & Crawdads game. As for purchasing stuff, well, that’s pretty iffy. Money is hella tight and I’m still a hard to please old son of a bitch where these newfangled RPGs are concerned. Still, I might pick up something at the flea market.
If any of y’all are at Dundracon, look me up and we’ll talk or drink or game or rob a liquor store or something.
Garden News
The rainy season is slowing up around here and no rain is predicted this weekend, so I’m hoping to get some major transplanting done. Next weekend will be all about getting a veggie garden bed up and running. This year, I’m going heavy on the green beans, salad greens, tomatos, squash, cantalopes, chiles, carrots, okra and spinach. I’m hoping my blackberries go crazy and I’m going to plane even more strawberry plants. No giant Hawaiian gourds this year, as I’m still waiting for last years to dry out.
More bloggage later.
How do you get a copy of Creeks and Crawdads? I’ve been trying for years…
Actually, some other guy is running the game. My copy of C&C vanished at some point on my trip to Origins in 1992.
The whole text of the rules book are online, tho I can’t recall where.
Oy, only a new adaptation with new rules. Still, it’s something. My quest continues! (I haven’t sound Simian Combat either…)
