Things: Swifty The Hoverboard

A long time surfer and skateboarder, Reuben Hoover has recently purchased a hoverboard from SJC Industries. Unlike the fire prone mock hoverboards of our reality, this hoverboard actually counters gravity to stay about 6 inches off the ground. The vastly reduced friction means that once a hoverboard gets moving, it takes a good while to slow to a stop.

Reuben has named his hoverboard Swifty, because he can get it up to about 60 miles an hour going down the hill his apartment complex sits on. Fortunately, hoverboards come with a braking mechanism based on Stark Industries repulsor technology, so if Reuben needs to stop fast, he can.

Swifty is painted in bright green and yellow-orange, with “Swifty” in silver letters on both sides.
