Sister Bomia’s Adventure Diary #28
We Entertain The Locals
Rabbitsday 2, Sun God Month, Year 25 of the Golden Emperor
Dear Diary,
The elves of Rainflower village are wonderful and hospitable people, Diary. They are generous with their food and knowledge. We learned quite a lot about them, their history, and this part of the world. I will have quite a paper to write when I get back home.
After a large mid-day meal, the leaders of the village had many of the villagers, especially children, perform various entertainments for us. There was singing, dancing, storytelling, and exhibitions of strength and skill. It was all quite entertaining. When they were done, we were asked to do some entertaining, which we all agreed to.
We started off with Grettin and Halana doing one of their exercise fights. The flashing blades and sound of clashing steel had the crowd wide eyed. There was much cheering when they finished.
Next, I got up and sang “Going To My Home In The Hills” and the more humorous “Now It’s Time To Run”. I went over pretty well, judging from the applause.
Amella did everything from gymnastics to sleight of hand to imitating various animal sounds. The children really liked her act.
Finally, Olivia not only cast several spells, but told a story linking them all together. She was excellent at it and got the biggest cheers and applause of the day.
After that, we answered many questions until it was time to help prepare dinner. Once we had all eaten, there was more sitting around talking and singing. It was really a very lovely day.
And now, Diary, I am off to bed. Tomorrow we set off on a three day journey to the biggest city in the area, Moonbow, where the Great Road ends. I will write more when I can.
