Chapter Five: Townie Boy
Dree Brunfelder and Carso Maneeli only saw each other twice a year, but the two ten year old boys were good friends who spent as much time together as possibly when the Maneeli caravan pulled into town. Today, they were out on the towns edge of Blue Tree township, walking that perimeter as though they were the town patrol guarding against an attack by the Great Northern Empire of the Wolf, which was called that to distinguish it from all of the other Great Northern Empires, none of which had attacked a town in living memory.
